Information we collect
When you create an account we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, password, and the professional information you add to your profile (such as work history, skills, location, and any resume you upload). Employers additionally provide company details. We also collect basic technical information, like your browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the service running smoothly.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate High Point Search: to match job seekers with relevant roles, to let employers review applicants who apply to their listings, to display your profile and resume to employers when you apply, and to communicate with you about your account and applications. We do not sell your personal information.
What employers and job seekers can see
When you apply to a job, the employer who posted that listing can see the profile information and resume you submitted with your application. Employers can only see applicants for their own jobs. Job seekers can see public company information for the listings they browse. We never share your contact details with parties unrelated to a role you chose to apply for.
Your resume and documents
Resume files you upload are stored so that employers you apply to can view and download them. You can replace or update your resume at any time from your profile; doing so updates the resume attached to your existing applications.
Data retention
We keep your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us, after which we remove it except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Sensitive credentials are never shown to other users, and access to applicant data is limited to the employer who owns the relevant job listing. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile information at any time, choose what to include on your resume, and control which jobs you apply to. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential communications.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
